Title: faith crisis
Post by: Cin on July 03, 2016, 03:37:59 PM
I don't really think of  God that much until things go wrong or if I'm afraid. I feel a genuine connection most of the times. When things are going good, I don't really think of God at all.

I wish I was more grateful... I feel like I only go to god in time of need.

I just hope I'm not doing it wrong, and if this is OK. Right now I'm thinking about God, but things aren't that bad. This is a change.

Not sure of the context, but maybe faith if just a way to get us through the unknown, at least for some of us. I've gotten to the point where not knowing is OK. The truth is we don't know and it doesn't matter.  Have your goals, operate with a set of good principles and expect the best, adapt when things don't go right and appreciate all that you have. The faith you have won't be in a deity, but in yourself.

Thank you, I try to have faith in myself too, but it's not as easy as having faith in something else. I will work on it.

It takes time and work. Confidence comes from doing the work and getting the expected result and learning to get it when you don't.

One of my greatest desires is to thank God for all blessings. It is hard to at times because when things are going great we are often busy going from one thing to the next, and out minds are filled with other things.

The other struggle is to thank God for bad times and struggles. While intellectually we know that these make us better, and sometimes brings us closer to the divine, it is still hard to do.

People say I'm ungrateful and selfish. I wish I could make it a habit to thank God more,
