I never dreamed I would look better than both of my younger sisters for one. As far as famous people go, I never dreamed I would look as good/better than Kathleen Turner or Linda Ronstadt. Now in KAthy's defense, she has been playing the frumpy Martha in "Virginia Woolf" (she was riveting in a performance here recently)

Of course, a lot of women let themselves go in their fifties, so there is a big advantage to women who take care of themselves.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. ;)
I'm ready to admit I haven't got to any credable stage that could compare to celebraties or even the girl who lives next door...
I'm so happy for you, Hun! Hugs!
I agree with Berliegh and my expectations were higher than the reality of the situation.

You should meet the girl next door to me!
I showed my girlfriend a video of my younger sister. She told me I'm much prettier and my build is much more feminine than my sister's. In comparison to me, she saw my sister as more masculine and not very attractive. (Of course, she loves me, so she's disposed to see me in a positive light.) This is an interesting reversal because when we were young, this sister was always the pretty one of the family.

Funny you should mention that Pauline.. I've been on HRT for well over 10 years and recently I had a bone density scan and I was very surprised by the results. They came back the same as a gernetic female and I was akso told that my bones were the same as someone 12 years younger than my age. So for me HRT has improved my overall health.
I don't think I'll win any beauty contests. But I do get compliments about looking younger than I am and being pretty. My one older sister is still the prettiest though. Prob. always will be. There are loads of women around here (where I live) that I look better than. >:-) There are also loads of women I could only wish to be as pretty as.
Virginia sighs and wishes for younger days.....

I was tolded many years ago as I wasn't a ''genetic female'' and on estrogen I had a high risk of developing ostroprosis in later life, I have a bone density scan about every 2years and make sure I have calcium in my diet, if I did develope ostroprosis, I still have no regrets, estrogen and surgery has turn me into a pretty woman, these days I'd never pass as a male, just an ordinary female, I do like to be pretty, theres no girl who doesn't.

You must look great! I think us older newly minted women have an advantage somehow - I don't exactly know why. Perhaps a healthy life style is promoted with the beginning of HRT or something. I think I look about age 50 and I am 61.
I think being told you look younger than your age comes with the territory for older TS. I'm more often than not told that I look ten years younger than I am and people don't believe me when I say I am 50. As if a woman would lie about their age, lol.
Any way perhaps off the topic a bit but never really been told I look like some celebrity and no sisters to be compared to.
Stardust
Well I have the same body style as Debra Heary (Blondie) does (now that is). But I'm back on the bicycle now and hope to start loosing weight . Plus I got complimented at a christmas party as to how good I looked even over GG's there. That was a head rush.
Beni
Still don't look as good as Carla Bissi (Alice) my favourite super hot 50+ year old! :'(

I really don't have any allusions of looking as good or better than any particular female. I have quite a way to go in my transition. I just want my life. I'd rather be an ugly woman than a half-way decent looking man.
After nine years on HRT and femminization I have had friends guess my age ten years younger then I am.

Whoa, your hair is so big in that newer picture. My hair is crazy poofy, too. I wish I were comfortable posting a picture of myself to show you a comparison shot.
You look fantastic! That photo makes me feel warm and fuzzy all over.
Hi Luna, email it to me, you got my curiosity now. The hair is crimped otherwise it's just mostly straight.
Cindy
I tried to do a PM, but I can't view just any profile. xD
Just click on the little envelope under where it says, And that too, under my avatar pic. That will get you to my email.
Cindy
My ex, in an attempt to discourage me, once told me that I was an UGLY woman. But based on reactions from men, I would have to disagree with her.
I may not be a Super model, but I think I am pretty. And I tell myself that everyday. ;D
Janet
Okay, Cindy. I sent you an e-mail.
I think.
</noob>
Hi Luna, I received it, you have beautiful hair and you have great potentials at your features being beautiful as well, given a few months of HRT. If you are still young you will get a lot of changes in the first year but it continues to relocate fat tissue where you didn't have it before for a good many years after as well. I think my pics are a good testimony to that, even for an old bat like me. ;D
Cindy
Thank you so much. ;D I'm quite excited, since I'm finally taking steps in the right direction. And it wasn't so much a matter of readiness before as it was finances. Here's hoping I don't hit any more financial roadblocks. >.<;
And you're not an old bat! :P You're awesome. :)
Janet Lynn, In the Super Model game closeys counts. You certainly get my vote.
Thank you Luna, or maybe a fairy with bat wings. ;D
Hey I finally go accepted into the Fairy forums. Still in the process of familiarizing myself in it. I bet Tink would love it. :icon_mrhappy:
Janet is lookin good, I have watched her change in the past few months, unbelievable. So it would appear that the estrogen works good on some of us fairies with bat wings. :D
Cindy
I love fairies with bat wings! It may just be my attraction to weird or dark things, though. I'm not the right personality for the part, though. Too dull and nerdy.

Thank You, Genevieve, ~ Blushes ~
And thank you, Cindy. As you and Wing Walker are a couple of the girls I look up to.
