Title: Is there more physical change after GRS than if you just continued Spiro
Post by: stephaniec on July 21, 2016, 10:50:03 AM
Just curious on the difference in your change physically having GRS or not having it and just continuing taking testosterone blockers. Is there much difference or is it negligible . Saying that you just take the T blocker for the rest of your life. There is a quantum difference in your genital area , but is there much difference in hips and body shape etc.

Not for me, it is just the weight gain that goes up fast after GRS. Maybe it helped filling out the butt (my guy jeans feels tighter in the butt now)

GCS / SRS surgery certainly, permanently removes those 'dangley male bits'.  Any remaining natural 'T' would be residual from adrenals.  Estrogen and progesterone ERT will maintain your female balance.

AA's fend off your natural 'T' until you decide on GCS / SRS or an orchi.

Watch your diet and plan an exercise routine to avoid unnecessary weight gain.

It depends upon what course of action fits your life through transition or post-op.
