Title: Hard drives for less $
Post by: Sylph206 on July 26, 2016, 08:16:27 AM
I know where hard drives like the ones specified, perhaps not the exact same type, may be available.  I volunteered at a place in Seattle but I would prefer people not call it so I would like the administrator to send me an email or PM or whatever and I can give her the name and phone number of the place directly.  Just so a whole bunch of people don't call the computer place I volunteered at.  I was able to get 500gb HDDs for $10 because I worked for them, but I don't know if they were high performance.  I think they were just average drives.  But high performance drives may be available there.  They have some old stuff at this place, like NESes, but also slightly used (barely!) hard drives.

Well, if the administrator could please give me contact information just so that I may give her the name of the place.  I just don't want 100,000 people calling this place in Seattle so that it is busy, you know.

I will ask them, also, If they have these things.  But I can't seem to email the administrator.  When I click her name it reads, "You aren't allowed to access this section."

umm 500gb hdd's are so small now, i don't think i would buy one that size unless it was a ssd, if my comp had the same storage with 500gb drives i would have 28 hard drives in my comp, just saying they are a bit outdated
