I don't know if this is the right forum for this.. but.
I told my bff recently and after a couple weeks of letting that sink in we planned on going to get manicures (simple for me, I'm just starting ) but due to her not needing one yet, we've switched to getting my brows cleaned up and going on a mini shopping excursion. We've discussed perfumes and small makeup, nothing too big yet.
It's still.. early in the I don't know where this is going but thank you for going on this journey with me phase. She's a little iffy because I kept it from her for so long. (Even though she said she's always known)
My insurance is changing and I don't know exactly when it kicks in (I've heard august 18th or October 1st) but once it does, I'm ready to start talking to appropriate therapists.
(Side note, anyone in the Colorado area know of good gender therapists?)

I recently told a really close friend and my older brother - baby steps for me but it's soooooo good to share this with others.
Can't help on the gender therapists I'm afraid but good luck in the search and I'm sure someone will be along soon to help!

It sounds like the two of you had a really fun time. I haven't gotten to the manicures or eyebrow shaping with my girl friend yet but we love getting together for shopping!
As for Colorado therapists, I would recommend finding a local gender support group and let them tell you about who has been able to help them. I know that there are good support groups up and down the Colorado front range.
