Title: 5 months of hrt update
Post by: link5019 on August 10, 2016, 11:58:44 AM
I just hit my 5th month of hormones, 2nd months of RLE. I have to say it's been amazing so far though it's been a bit difficult with family though too. I'm still experiencing a lot of body changes steadily as I continue forward. I've noticed by now my emotions have become a bit more stable. I'm not as quick to fly off the rails or have a mood swing, though they still happen from time to time. I don't think I've ever felt as mentally healthy as I have since I started my transition but I'm so glad I did because it has made me so happy and allowed me to be me. At this point, and since around 3 months, I've started passing and right now, I don't get outted or seen as a guy anymore at this point which is really really amazing. I can't help but smile because it's so nice to know people only see a girl when they talk to me, and my voice doesn't fail either. I don't know if it's a lack of a falsetto or what, but the voice surprisingly came easy for me. I was unsure of it at first but I've had a few people who have gone through years of voice therapy who said mine sounds more natural than theirs.  My sex drive is still non-existent, but I did recently experience my first female orgasm or well first and multi orgasm too. and seriously...omg I don't think I've ever felt so good in my life. I think the best part to me is it didn't involve anything physical.

Though physical changes have been interesting. I think the most noticable change is the breasts. I when from a 41 -42 inch bust pre hrt, to a 47 inch bust right now. I would say, and a few of my friends have stated they look like large B's small C's, which for 5 months is a lot o.o and it makes me wonder where I'll be in 2 years. I have lost an inch in height, so I am now 68" tall instead of 69". My feet shrunk too. I used to wear a size 9 - 10 in mens, but I wear a size 9 in womens easily now. My hips have widened some but it hasn't been too significant yet. My wait has narrowed some too which is really nice. My face has continued to round out, and my skin is still softening. I am super easy to bruise now lol. My hair is also thinning slowly on my body and it's a bit lighter but it hasn't completely started going away yet.

One of the biggest things I'm getting used to is guys flirting with me. I'm techncally bisexual, but I'm uncomfortable around guys most of the time. My feelings for guys is more significant now than it was pre-hrt. I actually am talking to one guy right now and he recently confessed he liked me and was flirting pretty hard  with me, and I am falling pretty hard for him. It's a weird feeling for me because I'm used to having to be the one to ask someone out and do all the flirting, so having the roles reversed is weird but nice. I'm not sure how I'll handle a relationship right now but it'll be interesting ^_^

I also have noticed my interests have been changing a little. I've become more interested in stuff like makeup, or well curious, but I haven't tried it yet. I've put more thought into how I dress in public, and some things like the kind of games I'll play, what I'll watch, etc.

My 6 month checkup is a month away. My doctor at that appointment wants to start me on progesterone to help with breast growth. I don't know much about progesterone or which is the best choice to go with, or if it really matters, but for those of you who went on progesterone, which kind do you suggest? what side effects did you experience?

Lastly a comparision of pre-hrt, and now at 5 months.

Pre-HRT                                                               5 Months HRT

You look great, and actually happy (you can see how the smile reaches your eyes in the second picture). I keep on having to suppress a small twinge of jealousy about your progress. And your voice, that sounds (and is) amazing. Once again, I am so jealous of you.
Anyway, congratulations for making it this far, I think myself and the rest of this community can honestly say that you've done amazingly so far, you look beautiful and the only future direction is onwards and upwards. Congrats.
