Title: Fear of insurance being canceled for seeking GCS
Post by: HappyMoni on August 11, 2016, 11:11:45 PM
Does anyone fear losing health insurance for seeking to get coverage for GCS or other expensive trans related  procedures? I expect they couldn't use that reason, but they might use other wording to do it. Any thoughts? I have Aetna.

You need to read the policy and see what it contains. There is always the possibility of a company changing the policy or provider leaving you high and dry. I have had to pick up a policy personally after losing a job in order to maintain regular health care coverage. Insurance is a bit of a gamble but if it's in the policy, most of the time they don't change the wording.

That's illegal.

QuoteMakes it illegal for health insurance companies to cancel your health insurance just because you get sick
