Hey, I'm nearing a month post-op (Chettauwt) and I happened to get a brief window-peek at my clitoris (or what I think is my clitoris anyway) during dilation today. And that whole area is... Solid white. I could post images, but I don't know if I'm allowed.
PM for pictures if curious.
Is this something to be concerned about?
Hi
I am no expert and not quailified to comment on your pictures, but i would say that if you have any worries you should visit your doctor or call your specialist

Could be still some fibrin?

Is it sensitive to touch? If not, there might be some necrosis involved, a very real possibility. Yes, I would talk to the physician about it if its a concerned. There is bound to be some necrosis, but hopefully not a whole lot.
Absolutely no worries!!! This is normal post op!!!... I had this too... They hadn't told me to expect it so it was a bit alarming but I called Dr Bowers office and they said it's fine!..the white tissue eventually wipes away upon full healing... Mine got a bit stringy too and little bits would come off but it eventually all goes away!!!!
Take Care and Happy Healing!!!!

Id send those pics to Chett and see what he says... I have that worse than you do on mine and Suporn said it will heal on its own in a month and leave it alone and don't mess with it ... I was given Silvex anti bactericidal burn creme, (1% micronized Silver Sulfadazine) and told to apply it "every time I pee"... It can be VERY uncomfortable :o :( But hopefully that's just a sign that everything is hooked up right, I don't mess with it... It's kinda scary but all I can do is trust the docs judgement and hope he's right...
Mine had no discomfort associated with it...I was told it was a scab of sorts...the appearance looked a bit like a small ball of wet cotton

Yeah it's basically the same with mine. No discomfort (though it occasionally kind of itches - I leave it alone, obviously). That said, I tried lightly poking at it with a baby wipe, thinking it was leftover lube or something. When it didn't come off at all I came here and posted.
I've sent a message to Chett (I did this at the same time I posted here). No reply yet, but hopefully this is helpful to others going through the recovery phases.
Honestly, there needs to be like a page that just lists weird symptoms you might see. It's crazy how little info you get from your surgeon on what to expect.
I totally agree...How hard would it be to hand people a page of things they might experience during healing that might seem worrisome but are just part of the process... A lot of anxiety could be avoided at a time when that is the last thing you need!
All will be well sister but keep us informed!!!!
Ashley :)

Speaking as someone with an upcoming surgery date, that sounds like a great idea. I've seen so many unexpected things that women have posted about their recovery, that I expect to be contacting my surgeon constantly.
Still no word from Chett. Despite the thread being really relieving, I won't feel fully okay until Chett says it's normal.
(I sent him a message marked urgent, but he's almost certainly obscenely busy so it's understandable that he hasn't gotten back to me yet I guess)
Chett got back to me and said "The build-up of whitish matter on the clitoris and in between the labia majora and minora is normal" so it's exactly as you guys said. Since you had seen different doctors from me, I wasn't 100% sure. Still, good to know!
So anyone who is worried about white chalky buildup in the clitoris area and is googling around - please don't worry! I was unable to find anything when I was searching around, so hopefully this helps someone.
I am dead serious when I say we need to create a page about common post-op problems. I'll make a thread about it maybe.
YAYYY!!! I'm so glad your worries have been relieved!!!! Continue the healing process, all will be well!!!.... Dialation time!!!!...:)
If it's a build-up of white matter on top of the clitoris, it may not even be a "post-op" problem - you can Google cis women and smegma. ;) Icky, but normal.
I'm glad he set your mind at ease!

See, this is what I really love about this site. I remember reading this thread when it first started, even though I was pre-op it was of interest with GRS scheduled a few months away. Guess what I saw when I peeked betwixt me nethers in the mirror today... exactly as described above. And I thought to myself ARGH WTF is that?? then I thought...wasn't there a thread on Susan's about that? Better check before I panic. Phew, sure enough, nothing to worry about!!
Congrats on the Grand Opening Ms Grace!!!! 😀!!! Happy Healing!!!!
Onward we go brave sisters!!!!
Ashley :)
I know several girls who done it with dr Chett if you're still interesting send me the pic and I will ask them if they had similar problem and If the healing is going fine
