Quite some time ago I was given a basic recipe for a topical anesthetic to be used whilst having Electrolysis. After several months of trial and somewhat painful error I have managed in conjunction with my Dr and a compounding Pharmacist to come up with a tweaked version of this compound that reduces the pain for me by about 40-50% and in some spots up to 80%. When considering these results you need to remember that I suffer from Hypersensitivity to certain types of pain so people may actually get much better results.
I have been charged $110 per 100 grams which is substantially cheaper than creams like Emla and so much more effective. In order to really nail this down I would like to know if people want to know the formula and who would be interested in having some made up and finish tweaking the final compound. I would like to have someone without my issues use the stuff and see how effective it was for them. I suspect highly effective...it has 3 different topical anesthetics in it and so is very powerful.
My plan after this final trial is to publish the formula here for everyone to use if they choose to.
So let me know if you are interested in the formula and are happy to help get it to a point where we can all benefit.

Hello Liz, congratulations for making such progress on your magic cream! I recall some postings in which you mentioned your earlier progress. I am currently pursuing marathon sessions with lidocaine injections, primarily because I could not handle regular electrolysis sessions with only the over the counter numbing agents. I expect that in about 6 to 8 months I will progress to the point where little enough facial hair remains that will not justify the travel to Texas for continued sessions with the injections. At that point I will need to return to a local electrolysis technician and will really appreciate your new magic cream formula. Please keep us updated with your progress and I look forward to trying it out next year.
