Title: What is it like to detransition
Post by: supergirl23 on August 22, 2016, 10:45:44 AM
I really have not heard anything about what it is like to detransition. And although I know I am transsexual, I always have a backup plan for everything. Including my transition. If somebody wouldn't mind telling me what it is like and why you are detransitioning and how to detransition that would be great.

Haven't been there, but it seems safe to say detransitioning is twice the journey that most transgender people face. There's a stigma attached to it, and I don't know why. I don't see any need to look down on someone for following their path.  :)

Can't speak to detransition, I think if you read some of Ms Grace's posts you'll find her talking about a short lived transition 1.0 followed by 20 years and then transition 2.0.

I just finished a 3 week experiment in suspending estrogen hrt which initially tells me if I ever want to detransition it will have to be all the way. I found being in an in-between place extremely uncomfortable. Not detransition but it tells me if I did choose that it would have to be one way and permanent. It seems biologically in between is very definitely not for me.
