I dont mean to trigger anyone, but can anyone help me
i am about to start t and i really concerned about male baldness
my dad is bald
is anyone able to share experiences- about their hair if they have a father whose bald.
I believe hair patterns and baldness are passed from the mothers side. At the very least you'll want to look at both sides of your family. If only one or two men are bald, it doesn't mean that you will be to.

Rogaine, my friend. My brother had to start that when he was 20 and it's worked for him.
Both, the mother side and the father side can affect your male pattern baldness if you're a biological family member of them. If only one person in your family is bald, you can risking getting bald, but it isn't a very high risk to getting bald. You have a chance to keeping your hair. But if several family members (e.g. from both sides) are bald and the balding gene are dominant (strong), you have a higher chance to be bald. It exists difference methods to avoid baldness, some are classical tricks and other is extreme ones. (I'm not recommending the extreme ones, but mention it anyway because it's a possibility.)
Methods to "avoid" balding:
- Wigs/toupee (You're still bald, but it hides your baldness.)
- Hair transplant (It's expensive and have some risks. But it might work for you if you're turning bald)
- Which hormones you receives (I know this one is extreme, but it's a possibility. Without male hormones, you wouldn't get bald. But it's kinda your choice, it's testosterone VS estrogen.)
Explanation why male pattern baldness occur. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pattern_hair_loss
The puberty isn't a buffet for cis or trans people. Cis people can't choice and pick what they want or not, nor can transgender people pick. You receives both features which you may find positive and negative. You can simply not pick your genes either. But you can in some way choice a bit; between female features with the head full of hair VS male puberty - but risking going bald. Most cis men hasn't that opportunity. If I had a choice, I would rather feeling comfortable in my own skin - but risking going bald than being stuck how I am now.
My dad is balding. His dad was balding.
I am not. Like Ayden, I am also under the impression that hair genes come from the maternal line. If you have brothers, they would be great indicators of what your hair situation will look like. All the men on my mom's side of the family have full hair into old age, and I haven't experienced any change in texture or thickness. Almost 2 years on T at this point.

My dad's dad has balding, my old man has some hairline changes but all the men on my mother's side have thick hair, so I'm about the same family wise.
I'm 4 years on T and my hairline hasn't even moved or changed.

There isn't a single bald man anywhere in my family to the farthest-back photographs I could find, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility. I think there may be other interactions that can contribute to hair loss including stress and weight issues that might also make their presence known. A young fella I know from work experienced a traumatic excommunication from his family following being prosecuted for an unintentional mishap and lost most of his hair in the space of 3 yrs right after that. Some of it is most definitely genes and hormones, but from what I've seen not the only contributory factors.
Generally passed on by the mother, if your maternal grandfather was bald there's a good chance it'll happen to you. A lot of bald or balding guys look hot, Kim Coates (AKA Tig from Sons of Anarchy & Happy his best mate in the show) & Jason Statham are just a few I like.
