Hey everyone,
New guy here :)
I'm almost 24 years old and I've been taking T for 3 years and 3 months. Last night I started having really bad stomach pains reminiscent of that monthly terror, but I put it down to other reasons. This morning I woke up with even worse pain and a FULL BLOWN period... What the hell??? The past few months of this year only, albeit inconsistently, I've been getting symptoms of a threatening period that either doesn't happen or does and lasts a couple days. I made an appointment to see my endocrinologist but it's going to be a couple months from now.
Does anyone know why this would be happening? After 3 years of being on T?!?!?! I'm extremely dysphoric about ...periods. Any way I can make this stop or slow it down or prevent it?
I appreciate any and all feedback.

Welcome to the site.
So sorry to hear about this. Is there any way you can message your endo details. Perhaps they would fast track it. Mine uses a portal that patients can access via a browser. There is a spot to send questions to you doctor and their team...
I of course do not have further ability to answer your questions.
I also want to share some links with you. They are mostly welcome information and the rules that govern the site. If you have not had a chance to look through them, please take a moment:

Welcome to the site.
I had pains on and off for years. I've heard of some guys getting break through bleeding, but it isn't typical. You should give your doctor a call, as it could be either your dose isn't right or a sign of an underlying problem you will want to address.

Hi Joanna!
Thanks so much for your response :)
Unfortunately, my endocrinologist doesn't do that kind of thing. So I will just have to wait and see. Thanks for the links about site rules as well.
Have a great day!

Hi Ayden,
Thanks for taking time to respond.
That's very strange... Do you still get pain? Also, if you don't mind me asking, did you end up geting a hysto as a result?
I made an appointment to see the endo, but I might go to my family doctor before then in the meantime.
Have a good day!

I had pains since about my first year on T (I'm about 5 years now) that felt exactly like terrible period cramps. I used to be in a lot of pain before the T but the pains after starting hrt were crippling for a few hours at least. I never had breakthrough bleeding but I had some pink tinges (very) occasionally when I would wipe.
I'm actually going to my six week post-op for my hysterectomy in about two hours. I had it done because my doctor and I both agreed that the cramping was unnecessary and probably not very good for my mental health. I would get them right around 2 days before my shot and they would last well into the night.
I'm glad to hear that you put in a call to your endo. Do they have a nurses line? I certainly have called and used my doc's nurses line more than a few times.

Agree with all the doctor recommendations. I think spotting is normal, but not full blown period.
I had my hysterectomy done as a prerequisite for bottom surgery, and it did wonders for my mental health. I never experienced any cramping or bleeding of any kind, but I had this low key anxiety about it constantly. I hope you're able to get this figured out soon.

Hey Ayden,
That's great your doctor agreed it was time to get it taken out. I hope that's what my endocrinologist says when I go. I was hoping to get it all taken out next year, but wasn't super set in it until this all started happening. Now I just want it gone as soon as possible.
Unfortunately the endo doesn't have a nurses line. I'm just going to have to wait until my appointment.
Thanks for responding

Hello FTMax!
That's awesome you're so far along in your transitional journey. I'm glad it's been so positive for you :)
This has been giving me terrible anxiety since it first started. Im afraid to go out into public when it rears its ugly head, as if people will know or something. It's really awful for my mental health. It's honestly what makes me dysphoric the most. It'll be a couple of months before I can see my endo about it. Thanks for your response and support.
