How difficult is mascara to remove? How easy to put on fake eyelashes? Which do you prefer? Thank you.
Mascara is easy to remove if you use lotion first. If you try with just soap and water it won't come off.

Pretty easy with baby oil or mineral oil. Same thing except for soft fragrance of baby oil. Vaseline also works well and I use Ponds cold cream. Use a q-tip or two or three, and
gently [I/] work at the base of the lash. Don't rub too hard but firm enough to succeed. As to false eyelashes. I've only been successful a few times in twenty five or so years. I've used tweezers, the little plastic applicator, fingers, prayers and nothing works. I think it's because I have fat fingers.
It depends on your goal. Are you trying to go out of the house and pass or are you wanting the most feminine look possible?
Falsies do create a very feminine and dramatic look.
Here in the Pacific Northwest a more natural look is the style and you don't see falsies on too many women. So I don't wear them - it would seem out-of-place and draw attention. I wear mascara (not the waterproof kind). It comes off with the foaming face wash that I use.

Thanks for ideas on removing mascara.
I assume you mean lotion before applying mascara (not before washing).
I bought some falsies.
Noooooo. Lotion after you have worn it to help it come off. Other things that will work are oils. Olive oil works very well and is good for your skin.
I think that putting lotions or oils on your lashes beforehand might make a big mess.
