Title: 'cool'
Post by: jonjon on October 29, 2007, 04:04:38 AM
Was loosing sleep over this last night.... damn.

I started cursing myself for not being cool enough (seeing an ex tonight in a club and yanno how it is... I've got to be cooler than him). And then tried to analise why i'm not cool. And then figured even all the cool people have quirks and flaws.

When you see someone in the street who appears to the naked eye as smooth and cool... You always imagine these people with no flaws at all... you imagine them as perfect human beings. They would never trip up the stairs in public, they would never say dumb things, they would never get embarrassed and if they did something that was remotely embarrassing, it would be passed off as 'cool'.

Then you actually meet these people and get to know them and thats when you find out they can be just as dumb as you are, they will trip up the stairs in public and they do get embarrassed. So i reckon it's all about how you deal with things.

But another important issue is looks. Ya gotta have the looks to be cool.

Now.... just what the hell shall i do with my hair tonight?  ???

It's all in the self-confidence, Wishy. Act cool and you become cool. Doesn't matter what you look like or wear or how your hair is, if you think it's cool, others will too.

Have to concur with my man Dennis. Be yourself. Dress how you like. That is what's cool.

And quit worrying about making social faux pas. What you have to say is just as important or fascinating as what anyone else has to say. Be yourself. Discuss issues of interest to you. If you have an awkward moment, brush off your shoulder and change the subject.
And who exactly is the 'arbiter of cool'?
How you dress and wear your hair is just as cool as what anybody does.

I am very disappointed.  I thought you are cool, but apparently not.  I will no longer waste my time with you.

I don't know what you're talking about.  You have crazy interests, fashion, a keen mind, creativity, and you publicly discuss your private things.  You couldn't be more cool if you had an ice maker installed in your pants.

as for the hair, I suggest you send it to me.

confidence is cool. the people at our school who are confident (but not cocky, but being themselves) are cool and people want to be like them. so just be confident with who you are.
