Title: Valentina's intro
Post by: Valentina on October 30, 2007, 06:25:24 AM
For about half my life I have lived feeling odd, not quite sure what was wrong. Maybe more than that...my memory before about age 7 is pretty poor.  Some years ago I finally was able to pin it all down, and was truly honest with myself and figured most of it out over the course of a month.

I am a transitioning woman from Bulgaria, and hoping to meet some friends, so I can maintain my hold on reality while I try to look forward to the future.

Hello Valentina,
You have come to the right place for friendship. There are lots of good people here in all stages of transitioning and some who have completed the transition.
I too have a sketchy memory before 7 and as you can see I am also a TS Women, that is a female in a male body. But I didn't discover this until will into my 50's. I'm glad you have realized it now and have so much time to enjoy your future as you transition.
Welcome to Susan's.
:)

Hello, Valentina,

Welcome to Susan's.  There are many women here who can offer you wisdom and advice from their own experiences and help you to maintain your hold on reality.

I don't know the medical protocols in Bulgaria but have you seen a gender therapist yet?  Please, don't try to medicate yourself.  Estrogen is a powerful hormone that if not used correctly can kill you.

May you do well in your transition.

I see a gender specialist and a doctor that prescribes my hormones.  I've been on prescribed HRT for three years.  Many thanks for your concern Wing Walker :)
