Title: STP packer comfort
Post by: uk_older_ftm on September 22, 2016, 04:17:16 PM
Or should I say LACK of comfort :-/

I've just started using an STP packer this week, and whilst I seem to have got the peeing bit down (woo hoo), the actual wearing of the damn thing all day is causing some...chafing issues. I'm using the Urinall ( www.urinall.com ) and because the receptacle is a hard polymer clay it gets a bit uncomfortable by the end of the day. I'm assuming this is just something I have to deal with, but are there other STP packers that are more comfortable to wear all day (and don't cost the earth)? I like this STP for its ease of use (I got it on Saturday, and after using it constantly since then I've only had one leaking situation) but whether it's going to be worth the discomfort I'm not sure...Unless my downstairs bits just toughen up over the next few weeks of use(!).

Never heard of that one, but looks very similar to the GoGirl. I'm not sure if they're available in stores in the UK or if you'd have to order it. It's made out of a softer material though, so may give you fewer issues. You could probably order one on Amazon I imagine.

It's good that you found one that worked for you! I've only found one that worked for me, but it's difficult/impossible to pack with so now I just pack with a regular packer and don't STP at all. You mastered the learning curve pretty quick!

I too have The Urinall STP packer and I understand what you're saying about it being uncomfortable. What I did was pull the tubing back a bit as there is excess on the head end so that the peeing receptacle can be bent up or down behind the balls,I wear it in a jockstrap with the receptacle bent down between my legs until I need to use it but I have to make sure that the tube isn't kinked or there would be accidents. This is a great STP and can handle a full flow of urine,I have spoken to Dylan the owner and suggested making the receptacle out of some harder silicone,he said he did try to do this before but it didn't go well but he may try again in the future. Hope this helps you a bit, best of luck!

Cheers mate, will give that a try. I don't want to give up on it because, like you say, it's a good STP.
