I know I've asked this before but some time has passed and I do look a little different than I did the last time I posted this. So, judging by my profile pic, (which I will admit is one of my more photogenic pictures) what do you think I would need to work on to pass? Other than my voice and getting my facial hair removed. I know about that already lol.
Also, what are your opinions on the jacket? I know it's a men's jacket but it's so unique that I think it'd look good on women too. That's just my opinion on that though.
Work on your confidence, head up, boobs out and smile! When you walk into a room, own the room.
You look great BTW. A large dose of confidence will get you past a bunch of tiny little imperfections.

Aww thank you! :3 however, other pictures of me, especially ones taken from the side, reveal my more masculine features. :/
To be honest, you would probably benefit from a new forehead. You've got a nice tapered chin, though. Can't tell about your nose, but it wouldn't hurt if the profile demands it. (Well, it'll hurt, trust me.)
Voice is crucial.
Charley is absolutely right.
Looks are certainly a huge issue, but self confidence, in my opinion, is much more beneficial to master. Your looks will change as you progress in your transition, but you MUST have self confidence. People can overlook potential physical factors because we come in so many different shapes and sizes, but if you can walk in and own the room, people aren't focusing on your looks, but rather on the aura that you project.
I didn't start my transition until my mid 30's, and I certainly don't consider myself an attractive woman, but being 100% confident in my identity as a woman has made me "bulletproof" and I haven't been "clocked" in over 10 years.
Believe in yourself, and others will follow.
Confidence is necessary and crucial, absolutely. It is not often sufficient.
I'd style your hair maybe or get a new cut. It doesn't look too much like a feminine cut, just that you let it grow out kinda
How about wearing dresses of bright color? Black is O.K., but I would wear more feminine and old-style dresses such as vintage apron.
And, you may also try wearing eye makeup. It will greatly enhance your feminine looking.

What kind of cut would you recommend? I'm also going to be coloring my hair black and purple next time I get paid. What would that do?

Black is probably my favorite color, then purple. Most of my clothes are black to be honest haha.
A lot of passing is how you present yourself and your body language the way you walk talk wave run jump stand the way you pose etc etc. Many women don't have the most feminine body language but I personally think having a more feminine body language makes people treat you as female because you come off more delicate I guess. Confidence is key in the picture you look sad try to smile and give more expression. You have to figure out what your style is I used to try all different styles at first but once I found my signature style shopping for clothes came so natural and I felt confident because I knew what I liked. To me it's all about making the effort. Not every woman is into makeup it's not always nesesssary but I think when I first transitioned simple things like mascara and concealer did me well. I tell everyone who is scared of passing is to get a feminine haircut and to get bangs I think bangs are cute and will help anyone pass because you don't see guys with bangs and they just make everyone's face look feminine. Medically wise I would say hormones are the most important to pass it changes everything and you won't have to worry about masculinizing
You look beautiful. I am sure you would easily pass. Yes most of the ladies here are right, being delicate and confident helps, but talking solely based on the profile pic now, you have lovely features. I would say your eyes are a little inside, leaving some hollow area, which to be honest a lot of genetical women have. I have an undereye area which is much more hollow (have attached a pic in one of the posts). During my consultation for facial feminisation, my surgeon recommended botox, to even the area. Besides I have a forehead which is far more precluding aggravating the issue. Hopefully forehead reconstruction will take care of it. Planning to do that in Feb.

Awwe thanks! :3 I hope that goes well for you! Also if I may ask, about how much is that going to cost? I might need to do that as well.

Based on your new profile picture, you look far more feminine with bright clothes. And the texture is also very feminine.

You have great bone structure, so in the long run you will be passable AND pretty. Right now, I agree with the eye make-up suggestion, and maybe something to bring out your cheeks a bit. I also think full bangs would look fantastic on you.
Based at your newest profile picture you doesn't pass yet.

Your brow bridge, the hairline and the sharp edges at your nose screams that you aren't cisgender. That's features that HRT won't be able to fix. If you wants to pass as a cisgender, FFS might be necessary. But if passing as cisgender isn't important, you can stay how you are now. Then you might get misgendered and people would probably read you wrong. If I didn't know about your true gender and saw you at the street, I would probably guess wrong.

I wouldn't sugarcoat it -- FFS
will be necessary to address her forehead if she wants to pass consistently and unambiguously in society at large.

I disagree. People worry so much about facial features, but that will change and it's WAY too early to make such a conclusive statement. Looks are telling, but self confidence and voice are infinitely more important. How I looked starting HRT, after 6 months, 1 year, 5 years and 10 years are all worlds apart.
I didn't transition until my mid 30's, but I got my voice perfect and I believed in who I am. I didn't have FFS, but I haven't been questioned nor have I gotten weird looks in over a decade. Dress appropriately, be comfortable in your own skin, SMILE, mannerisms, presenting yourself appropriately, don't think of yourself as transgender, believe that you are really female, and in time everything will work out just fine.
People sense fear. People sense when you're outside of your comfort zone. Those are more damaging than a forehead ever will be.

I'm agree with you that it's smart to wait with FFS and let the HRT work. HRT needs times before it works and often it needs several years. But if you wants to pass, the appearance is very important. The mannerism, self-confidence etc. do help a lot, but it doesn't do everything. There are physical differences between the sexes characteristics (Like body build, face, voice etc) and people often tries to read which gender/sex you're. If you do have a stereotypical masculine face, it would be more difficult to pass as a woman than if you have a typical feminine face, even though you do have the self-confidence, mannerism, clothing etc. I'm just telling my opinions based at my own experiences.

These are all true, to a point, especially what you say about voice.
But not all faces are created equal. And, furthermore, not all of us have time to wait for HRT, which only changes skin and fat distribution, not the shape of our bones. A lot depends on one's individual dysphoria, too -- a year of waiting on my part was practically an unbearable eternity, and I say this as someone who got her voice down first, before even getting on hormones. I had no problem passing before facial surgery, but afterwards it was like a whole new world opened up. It especially had a profound impact on the people who knew me from before.
And, there's something else to consider... namely, that women aren't always appropriate. Nor should we be. Sometimes I'm cranky, short-tempered, rude, sick, tired, insecure, lazy, uncomfortable, frowning, and clumsy, and often that's just getting out of bed, let alone how the rest of the day will be. But I don't have to be "on" to be gendered correctly. It happens automatically now, regardless of what I do or how I feel. There is tremendous freedom in that.

Sorry for such a late reply. Was recovering after SRS. Forehead Reconstruction will cost me about $1900.
