Hi. I've been having labor like cramps that hurt so bad it feels like I'm having contractions. I'm losing sleep because it is so painful. Tylenol 3 and or ibuprofen do not seem to help. I know I'm not pregnant...I'm 5 months on T and on the depo shot. I'm not bleeding either. Tried to go to the er two days ago but there was a 7 hour wait ahead of me. Is this crap even normal?? It hurts into my back, abdomen and even down into my thighs.
You know what y'all? No wonder no one has an answer....this has nothing to do with transition...it may be appendicitis!! Going to get looked at right away! I'm not trying to die! My friend told me it could be appendicitis and I looked up the symptoms...yeah.pray for me y'all.
I can't speak for the guys here, but I can say if you feel it is something of concern best get checked out. Other things can cause cramps that are that strong and with it shooting down the leg it does make me wonder if something else isn't causing them for you. Hugs

Well...I spent 6 hrs in the ER last night...and the Dr said everything was normal...wth? So back to square one...I will have to make an appt with the women's clinic. At least it wasn't appendicitis.
If you look through this section, you will find other FTMs who report menstrual cramps that are even more severe than they were pre T. They were reported as much as 6 months to a year after starting T and that is possibly what you are experiencing. The female reproductive system doesn't shut down all at once and may continue to cycle resulting in periods of discomfort.

I've seen quite a few posts about guys who experience cramps at some point when they are on T. However, what you are describing sounds a lot more severe than just some aches and pains. You definitely should see your doctor to have things checked out. Have you considered a hysterectomy at some point? Are your T levels monitored and in the right range?
Good thing it wasn't appendicitis indeed, though! That's a relief. But you should get to the bottom of the pain sooner than later.
