I would like to ask the group if any of you have had experience with seeing a therapist for gender related issues. I live in a small city in the northwest and seeing a local counselor would be risky and carry with it a learning curve for the counselor. I know that there are counselors that offer telephone support. Has anyone tried this?
I am searching for someone to talk to that can give me some help dealing with my feelings working through incorporating my desire to crossdress with my wife. My wife has known about my dressing for many years. Recently my wife shared with me some of her own feeling on her sexual orientation. She has recently revealed to me that she feels as though she is primarily attracted to women. She has felt this way for many years; she has just not been honest with herself or me. Her honesty and openness has opened up the lines of communication and honesty about my crossdressing. You would think that with her feeling about being attracted to women and my crossdressing that would make us an even better fit. It does not work that way for her or me. I want to remain the strong male figure in our relationship. With that brief overview you can see that we are both dealing with a lot. Any insight some of you may have would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Lora
The Northwest covers a huge area. If you could narrow it down somewhat I have a list of resources for OR, WA and a few for ID.

Yes, Montana.
Thanks,
I speak with Dr. Bushong (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,289.0.html) via telephone and I am quite happy. However, I have no experience with him from a Crossdresser's point of view and his information (http://www.doctorbushong.com/) does seem tailored to the Transsexual side of things, but perhaps an option regardless.
I wish you luck (=

Thank you for the names. Do you know if these people have experience in crossdressing / gender issues?
They were on a list of gender therapists.
I have no idea of their qualifications or even if they are still practicing.
This could be another source for information > http://www.gaymontana.com/wmglcc/
