Title: Post Trach - Larynx stuck to wound?
Post by: Rebecca on November 01, 2016, 03:36:00 AM
Got my dressing off and when I swallow it drags my entire wound up with my larynx.

Is this normal and temporary?

I'm assuming it's due to the surgical glue then hopefully separate soon but it's freaking me out thinking it could be permanent.

Will be calling surgeon once his office opens but anyone that's been through it that can shed any light would be appreciated.

No further forward yet. Waiting for a call back from surgeon. Will post again once I hear from him.

Hmmmmm. Finally got a callback and wasn't for a reassure that it's supposed to be like that then be ok later.

Appointment Tuesday for him to get a look. Hoping it's just a bit of surgical glue or something and it will break down but yeah scary.
