Hello everyone, my name is Ophelia and I'm a transgender girl from northeast Texas. I turned 19 a few days ago, and I'm now 4 months along on HRT(the 20th of this month will mark my 5th!), so everything has been pretty new for me at this point. I came upon this site a few years ago when I was very lost with myself, still am quite frankly, and just decided this year to make an account for myself. For a few months I've had to come to terms that hormones wouldn't, and didn't, solve all my emotional and mental problems and now I have to figure out how to cope on my own. I'm also currently still trying to seek employment and figure out what I want to do in my life while in college. But I know for one thing, I just want to be in a happy place.
Welcome to Susan's Place. HRT is only part of the picture. Therapy with a gender or regular therapist is often needed and the social transition with other medical treatments are needed for many. This site can be useful as it's group therapy with a group of thousands. You need to explore all avenues and find what works for you. If you have questions I can help you with, let me know.
We issue to all new members the following links so you will best be able to use the web site.

Hi Ophelia,
Welcome! Sometimes it takes a while to figure out one's place in the world. No one thing will solve all your problems. Being young is nice but it can also be a very unsettled time. Be patient and give yourself a bit of time. You should give yourself a pat on the back for taking positive steps in your exploration of who you are. It is a smart way to handle dealing with that lost feeling. My name is Moni. Glad you decided to post. :) See you around.
Hi Ophelia :icon_wave:
Welcome to Susan's Place :) Glad to have you here, join on in the fun
