Title: Will surgery help me slim my waist?
Post by: Jean24 on November 10, 2016, 10:06:08 PM
They say your T goes through the floor after surgery or an orchi. I've been having a lot of trouble slimming my waist to female levels, right now it's about .8 and I need to lose a bit more. It's REALLY hard though, I eat and exercise right but I can't really put a dent in it. I kinda look like a body builder/gymnast and I want to lose upper body muscle and fat, and some inches off of my waist so I have better curves and an average build.

Does a lack of T help feminize those areas?

Lack of T makes it more likely, but not by itself. Exercise and eating right are also part of what helps along with hormones to ensure a nice female shape. Even then it isn't 100 percent full proof. My mom and other woman are proof of that. Hugs

It will depend somewhat on your body but in my case, 10 years without sex hormones resulted in excessive deposits in my belly area. Returning to HRT even at menopause levels has helped move fat away from the belly to more desirable locations. I am in the middle of the desirable weight range for my height so I am not dealing with excessive fat. In addition, some of the places the fat is being moved to lost fat when I went off HRT. As the result of my experience, I would not recommend anybody go cold turkey on HRT for an extended period of time for both appearance and health reasons.

Targeted liposuction and autologous fat transfer might help.
