Title: TDOR 2016 - our small contribution
Post by: RarityMonk on November 18, 2016, 10:24:18 AM
My LGBT+ network's gender identity subgroup have developed a series of simple yet (hopefully) thought provoking facts and statistics which we'll be posting throughout the day on Sunday on our Twitter account. We're primarily aiming this at people who know little about trans and gender non-binary issues and discrimination, and to get them to think about positive actions they can take. I realise it's only a small activity compared to some of the more significant things others will be doing, but it's a significant step within our company. If you're interested in seeing what we are posting our Twitter account is @ShineLGBT.

I'd be very interested in learning what other people have planned, particularly in the light of issues we've experienced in the UK with a rise in transphobia, and the inevitable upsurge in negative behaviour in the States since the election results. Whatever you're doing, I hope you have a safe time.

Apologies in advance if this is not the right place to post this topic. I did wonder about posting it into the calendar of events, but it's not something I could invite anyone to.
