What are the benefits of Micronized progesterone. Am interested and would like to talk to my doctor about it.
Here is the famous article that makes a case AGAINST taking progesterone:

This "famous" article does not quote any scientific reference in support of what it asserts (in fact it cites no source at all !).
OP, you should search Susan's place with keyword "progesterone", there are a lot of topics which deal with pros (a lot) and cons (a few) of taking progesterone for trans women. Some posters have given numerous references to very good and serious scientific articles which you can show to your doctor if she is reluctant to prescribe you progesterone.
- I had great boob development
- It balances out my mood when my e levels drop/mood elevation
- I sleep better
- It helped with weight gain and fat redistribution
- libido increase
Mine have been similar: Rounding out of my breasts, Has helped with weight redistribution. It has kicked my appetite into overdrive, so i really do need to watch everything i eat and drink more liquids. Helps me sleep. Has a calming effect.
Some of this all could be from extended time on estrogen, but i think much of it came from adding the progesterone

Infamous then, maybe, haha. :)
There seems to be quite a few inaccuracies if you really take the time to find support for assertions in article.
The age at which Tanner 4 and 5 stages is reached is quite variable and can go till the age of 18. Progesterone is wrongly lumped together with the rest of the other progestogens. Breast does not seem to be composed of 80% fat as evidence from one study points out. Etc, etc.
