Hi girls, :) I just wanted to know if it would be effective to take the common mid dose level Estrofem sublingual while at the same time be wearing a highest dose Estradot patch. I'd wear 6 patches a month only 3 weeks out of the month while taking my Estrofem everyday. Would this provide great results along with a USP Bio-identical Progesterone Cream being used 1.5-2 weeks out of the month?
This sounds like it may be a good idea to me but I would really appreciate some input.

I'd love to really; but the nearest clinic that has a endo is miles away from me and my car is not the most reliable thing as it is getting up there in wear and tare. So I have to.... ahem, go under the radar so yeah.. it kinda sucks.

It's best to check with your doctor. I'm not sure your supposed to be using two patches at the same time anyways. Secondly FYI Self medication talk is against TOS 8. I know they may not be close but then I have to travel a good 6 hours to my Endo so I can understand that but best to consult a doctor. Hugs

Good point, is it because there are little sensitive blood vessels near the top layers of skin? So this equates to less absorbtion. Progesterone injections might be nice but to expensive, I should go with the Microgest I guess. For now though I'll just stick with my Estrogen and T blockers I bought. I ended up getting the Patches and Estrofem and Spiro in bulk, going to mix them and see how my body responds.

Probably penetration was not optimal and poor blood circulation in area. Who knows?
Injections of bio-identical progesterone don't last long as levels significantly drop after 24 hours so that in pregnant women (to prevent miscarriage), for instance, injections are administered DAILY to keep levels steady. Inconvenient and a pain in the %?&! Injections of hydroxyprogesterone caproate are more convenient (weekly to biweekly) and appear to be quite safe, according to studies. We don't have them in Canada. :( As always, consult a doctor.
