Hi, this is actually my first time posting here. I'm looking for some help.
I would like to know if anybody here knows of surgeons in Ontario, Canada that have experience performing facial feminization surgery. Inquiries I've sent to plastic surgeons that show up in google results when searching for FFS in Ontario have come back negative.
If I have to travel to the States to have the surgery performed someday, I suppose that'll just be what I need to do. I see the name Dr. Spiegel come up a lot. But I'd really like to have the surgery done closer to home so that my partner can be with me.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Welcome to Susan's Place. There may be more but the only Canadian member who underwent FFS and posted it is this one (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,204276.0.html). While the doctor may not be near you, staying in Canada may allow you to be covered under your medical system. You might be able to receive the surgery you need from a reconstructive plastic surgeon as many of the procedures used in FFS are not that different from those preformed on a CIS woman. I am not an expert in this areas so others may have more useful information.

Thank you for your response! I think I would prefer to work with someone who has experience helping trans women, it would just make me more comfortable.
To my understanding, yes, there are a bunch, though they tend to be a bit more 'discreet' about advertising it.

All that aside, Dr. Bensimon (Montreal, Quebec) is said to be VERY good. There is another highly recommended Surgeon in British Columbia, but I forget the name. (Who doesn't want a vacation in BC though?!)
