My wife booked an appointment with a local hair transplant specialist in Century City, so we went over yesterday and discussed possible treatment plans with the doctor. He was very sweet, and walked us through how it would work and what it would take. We stopped at reception to get ideas about availability, and they said they had an opening on December 19th. I said, ok, let's think about it but she pushed a little, and I didn't have a good reason not to go forward.
So I'm getting my hair done on the 19th, and traveling back to Lewisville (E3K) for my second facial hair clearing on the 26-29th. This is starting to go much faster than I had hoped or imagined. I really hope I'm ready.

Hi Dayta
I am week two recovering from my second round of implants. I am just so happy with the results I have had and combined with some unexpected regrowth from HRT things are looking pretty good I do have a thread running about it and am just getting together the last few photographs.
What method is your Dr using? Mine used a strip from the back of my head in both cases.
Hope you get a great result

Thanks, Liz! Yes, it's the same technique, a strip from the back that the nurses dice up into individual hairlets that he then places, mostly into my temples and hairline. He suggested we'd want to come back at least once more, after the first set had grown in, maybe a year from now. I'm trying not to get too anxious, but now two weeks seems like such a long time! :P
It will fly by and before you know it you will have your new hair and be terrified of damaging it LOL The reality of which is almost none existent after about 36 hrs. Just the first round made a difference as what ever little hair you have left will never sit the same again. I look at myself now and can imagine how things will look after 3 months for it to grow in...then give it another 12 and it should look great. having it done in two rounds is supposed to be beneficial to healing. My Dr felt that the tissue became too stressed after inserting any more than about 1500 follicles in any one session.
Good Luck

Hope everything went well :) My 6mo results are here if you're interested. (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,206068.0.html)
It did a lot for me in making me feel comfortable pulling my hair back.
Wow they look great...I had way less hair than that to start off with, But I am also much older I would say...I don't know about you but to me they look natural...I wouldn't know they were not unless you told me.
This is where I started
