Title: What to wear to the doctors
Post by: Bombi on January 29, 2006, 02:57:16 PM
Yesterday I had my annual phyical and I was stessing about what to wear. I used to keep one pair of mens bikini briefs for this purpose but  my wife threw them out. I asked my wife Jill her advise. She said, wear what you always wear just make sure they are clean.
So I wore a whie T shirt bra with underwire and padded cups and a whie cottn sting thong.I went into the exam room and the nurse practitioner, Marie told me to remove my clothes and leave my underwear on.and left the room. The door opened and she returned and lokked at me sitiing on the exam table in my undies. She smiled and proceeded through the exam. Then when I thought we were done she asked me to take off my bra to do a breast exam. Marie did the exam and picked up my bra and told me to put it back on which I did with her watching me . She said we were done and I asked how how everything looked and she responded, Your fine but you are wearing the wrong size bra, you shoudn't have those strap marks on your back. I thanked her and left thinking how glad I was that that was my only malady. What do you wear to the doctor?

I'm a little confused here Bombi.

In your posts you refer to yourself as being a TV/CD, but you also stated that you are on hormones and can almost fill a B Cup.  So what are you?

And why would you worry about what to wear to the doctors as even if you weren't wearing a bra your B Cup breast size would have caused the doctor to raise their eye brows.  During your medical check up did medications/hormones ever come up, were they discussed, are they being monitored.  It's not clear from your post.

It would seem to me that the question shouldn't be "What to Wear to the Doctors" but what to discuss.

Steph

Usually I'll wear a modest pair of briefs which are a pastel.  On a few occasions when I have been sick and made appointments on short notice, I have had on lacy panties and bra.  The PA certainly noticed the bra but didn't say anything.  Had to pull down my pants for a shot in the hip and she complemented my lacy brief was she pulled it down for the shot.

Same here, my normal everyday panties. Once a new nurse told me that when she started she was surprised how many men wore panties, now she is surprised how many do not use the correct size.

Correct sizes for our bras and panties are very important as we transition.  I usually wear floral white or pink at my doctors appointments.
