Title: Fat Redistribution for FTM need advice
Post by: cameron101 on December 18, 2016, 11:06:35 PM
Hi everyone, I really need some advice, I have tried doing some research on fat redistribution and I'm getting mixed information on the internet, my question is do you have to lose weight in order for fat redistribution to actually happen? I have had a really bad eating disorder in the past, and I'm currently in recovery and the thought of having too control my intake, count calories and lose weight in order to get a masculine body is making me feel really anxious and depressed. Is it possible for my fat on my hips to redistribute to my waist without having to lose weight? Is it possible for this to occur on other areas as well, like my face and thighs? Right now I'm 5'3 and 120 pounds, around 20-22% bodyfat, if anyone has any advice on this or can clarify if fat distribution is possible without having to lose weight it would mean a lot guys, I'm kinda freaking out about it :/ Also I read some things on the internet where people were saying the the only way for fat redistribution to actually happen is if you lose your current fat and replace it with new fat that goes to more masculine parts of your body, so confused, I guess just to clarify my question is if I will get redistribution with having to do anything? is that possible? Thanks guys

120 lbs is definitely not overweight.  If you are on T, and do not increase you daily caloric intact, you will develop muscle at the expense of butt and boob tissue.  Walking on a daily basic will give you stronger, more masculine legs.

Testosterone is very powerful and will change your sex within a few years.  Just be sure that's what you want because you will get to the point of irreversible changes within 6 months.  You will become hairy and smelly, like cis-men.  Just be sure that's what you want.

You don't have to lose weight for it to happen, but it is a much more noticeable change if you are near your ideal body weight.

It'll happen once you take T but  it's the slowest change to occur and become noticeable. It takes 5 yrs for male puberty to fully develop  just so you know. You can gain weight on T so that'll also be a factor to what your overall body will look like 5 yrs on T.

Thanks Randi! I am always feeling very self conscious about the hourglass shape of my body, it's nice knowing that it can change without having to lose weight necessarily right? Pretty much the fat on my hips will go to my waist and make it a more masculine shape? haha I'm looking forward to the other changes as well, I'll take being hairy and smelly  :D Thanks for clarifying this for me!
