I haven't had 1 pimples since starting hormones and today a pimple came up. Is that a bad sign? I looked online and it said pimples are caused by androgens and to my knowledge that's a bad thing. So should I be worried. I'm currently on estradiol, spironolactone, and progesterone.

I doubt it has to do with androgens. (: It could just be that dirt or something has clogged the pore. If you start suddenly getting acne after this amount of time, I think that might be a little different.

so when you say acne you mean like 10 pimples at once? The pimple I got was under the skin. It's actually kinda going away now.
I mean more than a few or even a cluster of pimples. There all inflamed sebaceous glands..If you get one or two it's probably dirt, makeup, etc. if you get several, something may be off or maybe you need to switch up your cleansing regiment/products

Women get pimples but not as many as men. Women have some testosterone in their system as it's part of chemical process that takes place in both genders and both gender acquire their sex drive from it. It can be a byproduct of progesterone breaking down but it's not something you should worry about unless you develop serious acne. If you do, see your doctor and make sure you practice proper skin care. Not cleaning the makeup off can contribute to skin problems.

I wash my face twice a day and put aloe on my face twice a day. I have no sex drive though, havnt since month 5. I might have my doctor check my hormones just to have peace of my mind.

I can sympathize with you. I had a pimple on my butt that was really sensitive and annoying the other day. Sadly, I probably sit more than you do. I should get it checked out, too. I hope you get to feeling better soon.
All the best,

I get pimples on my butt all the time, I just figure they are like old people moving to warmer, more humid climates farther south...haha!!
Actually, it is because I wear workout gear, a lot. It can be a pain in the butt--literally :)
