Title: Thread Veins/Broken Capillaries/"Spider veins" & HRT
Post by: divineintervention on January 06, 2017, 08:14:27 PM
Hi all,

Haven't been on here for awhile.

Just wanted to check, does anyone struggle with the above after the op? Or whilst being on HRT?

I'm not sure if it is because I'm on a higher dosage of E or just estradiol valerate in general causing it, but I'm finding more and more broken capillaries over my entire body (face, shoulders and thighs being the most prominent) after my operation.

Would really help if you let me know how long you've been on HRT since post-op, thanks!

Hardly anyone has reported spider veins after surgery. Mostly associated with age and shows up on the legs. If you have serious spider veins on you upper body, this is unusual. The good news is that spider veins are mainly cosmetic and do not cause other serious problems. There are vascular surgeons who specialize in removing spider veins.
