Hi everyone
I have important issues
And I need to know more about it
If a MTF have been taking hrt for very long time ( 3 years or more )
And she had to stop hrt for several weeks to do major surgery or so
How long her body usually will take to make the male hormone again ?
Is the Chemical castration after long time of hrt is real thing or not
Thanks
Hi Rose,
For FFS I had to stop 2 weeks before and 1 week after for all HRT including spiro. For GCS I only needed to stop E and P I think 3 weeks before and 2 weeks after. I only take E and very low dose T now.
I had no adverse issues.
The longer you are on HRT the longer it will take for the body to return to previous levels, and even then the physical changes won't be noticeable for some time after. A few weeks off for surgery, especially since you've been on HRT for three years should not be an issue. After three and a half years I recently went off HRT for a few weeks prior to GRS. Other than some headaches (which may have been related or not) I can't say I noticed any difference.
I will have surgery in my face they told me to stop hrt 6 weeks before the surgery and 2 weeks after the surgery I feel this is very long time and I'm scared that the androgen effect will change me [emoji20][emoji20][emoji20]

I think it's unlikely given how long you've been on HRT. If it does it will only be in the last few weeks and will be minimal (maybe a bit of extra body hair) but easily reversible once you're back on the HRT.
True I did grow little extra hair but what annoy me the most is my skin got really oily and I start having acne :(
Btw I forgot to mention that I have been on hrt for almost 8/9 years
I have to stop again for my srs after awhile
I'm very scared the effects will become more obvious
I restart taking my hormones again I feel comfortable and happy for this
I hate the male hormone :( its nightmare
