Before top surgery, I was super worried about my nipples not sticking out. Now, I'd honestly rather them be flat than look how they do right now. They do stick out, but not in the way a normal nipple does with just one little bump. Mine are kind of just lumpy all over, I don't even know how to describe it. It's certainly unlike any other nipples I've seen, trans or cis.
The worst part is, I have no idea what I'm supposed to do about it. As far as I'm concerned, it's not really something that can be revised. I'm seriously considering just getting them removed, but I wish I had made that decision before my surgery because I already have enough scars. But the thing is, I do want to have nipples. Just not mine. Has anyone else struggled with this? Any advice?
I'm new so I can't recall if I can mention products, but have you looked into nipple cups and pumps. They are used by both CIA and trans for a spectrum of reasons including curing inverted nipples.

*Cis not CIA. Sorry.

You just had the surgery and from my understanding nipples take the longest to heal and look normal. They change a lot if I'm not mistaken

Left is my nips one month post-op. Right is my nips at something like 1 year post op. Don't remember exact date it was taken, but that is how much nips can change. They were completely flat early on, but did eventually have a "bump" that developed to them. There are some small craters or raised areas depending on how things healed, but overall I'm super happy with them and they are nipple like enough for me.

Can you post a pic?
When did your nipples start to pop out more Max? I'm almost 7 months post-op so I don't really know how much more they're gonna change, and it's not that they don't already stick out, they're just kind of deformed.

I don't remember exactly. I remember someone posted another thread asking if nipples always stayed flat, and that's why I took that picture for them. If you look back for that thread, the picture was taken that same day so you'd be able to see how far out I was from surgery.
I don't think it was an overnight fix. I think it was a gradual healing that got them to that point. I want to say it was after 6 months but before the year mark. Not entirely sure though.
With yours, the one in the bottom pictures does look like it didn't heal as well as the other but overall I still see nips. Do they change at all when you're cold?
My default is to tell people to wait it out, but most surgeons do have a 1 year limit on aesthetic revisions before you have to pay for it so maybe consider sending those pictures to your surgeon and see what they could potentially do for you? I'm honestly not sure what can be done to improve nipple aesthetics after the fact.
I'm not a big fan of mine either but they aren't horrible. My right side has a nipple but the top part of my areola is a white/pink color but the other half is pink so it looks funky. My other side the color is fine but there really is no nipple popping out it's like a lump with a line through it basically. I'm about a year and 8 months post op. I think on etsy someone sells silicone nipples and has them in various colors they look pretty realistic. But I don't think you'd want to be covering your nipples until your out of the healing process.

Yeah, my nipples are also a little patchy. I figure it'll take a while for the pigment to completely come back, but I might just get them tattooed if it never does. I've heard about those silicone nipples, but I just don't think it would be the same. Plus I'd probably be constantly worrying about them falling off, lol.

Based on what I have seen, you have an excellent result. And they will only improve. Who was your surgeon?
I don't know how hard it is to create areolas/nipples, but yours are better than most I see.

I didn't really think about it until now but, putting adhesive on your existing nipple that's still healing probably isn't a good idea lol..
I think I remember you being from Washington right??
I remember being so paranoid about nipples and how mine would turn out more than anything else, and that alone stopped me from getting this procedure done for a long time. I went to Dr Sajan and I'm so thrilled with how my results are and especially with how good the nips look. I mention this because I know he can do revisions on top surgeries; I'm not sure what the price is or anything though. If revision is something you're considering I would think about visiting him in his office in Ballard. Here you can find some pictures of mine over time: http://totodileandy.tumblr.com/post/154182864359/6-months-post-op-double-incision-from-dr-javad
If you want I can take closer up pictures too. I feel like it looks even better in person and everything looks better every day. I'm almost 8 months post op myself.

Yup. My surgeon was Dr. Mangubat, for whoever asked. I don't think he's a bad surgeon by any means, the contour and scars looks great, and I'm happy with the size and placement as far as the nipples go. Like Max mentioned, it could've just been the way they healed. I believe he does revisions for free within the first year, but honestly I don't even know if I want to deal with that. I'm sure it'll be significantly less invasive, but I really just don't feel like going through surgery again and quite frankly I don't think there's much that can be done.
