Title: Things you don't want your electrolysist to say...
Post by: Megan. on January 16, 2017, 04:29:53 PM
Just had my second session,  the lady came out with a couple of comments that didn't improve my mood.

-Gosh you've got big strong roots.

-Wow you've got a lot of hairs.

Anyone got any others?

Uh-oh, that's gonna leave a mark...

Or...

Just hold this tissue and put a little pressure right here...

What she should have said was: Hey, you know that numbing cream I charge you $80 for, the one you cannot afford? Ha, well, it's actually anorectal cream, and you can buy it online for $26 a tube, and use as much as you want.

I hate the 'scam' part of their profit scheme. LNX cream is very effective and affordable and she should have told me about it when I first started electro instead of watching me squirm in needless pain to protect her profits. Grrr!

Congrats  ;D  You're my first patient

Relax and make yourself comfortable, these restraints will only take a moment

Excuse me, but I need to ask the head tech a question about voltage requirements

You can get Aspercreme with 4% lidocaine for about $7-8 at most any drug store.  I've been using that and have had very little pain.  I've heard it hurts more after HRT is started so I'll see what happens then.

On a slightly more positive note, I went for an electrolysis consultation last week and when the electrologist was doing a patch test at the end, she said that I had great hair for electrolysis and the hair was literally jumping out of the pores when the RF current was applied. Also I was relieved that the pain wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.

I'm not so lucky, though I have found the pain to be better than expected and certainly bareable. I'm happy for you.  X
