Title: Formation of prominent vein following vaginoplasty
Post by: mistyjensen on January 23, 2017, 08:24:03 AM
Hello,

I had vaginoplasty on October 24th of last year and noticed a few weeks ago that a vein below my labia became very conspicuous. The vein is where I had significant skin separation after my surgery. I wonder if the skin separation, which I assume resulted in thinner skin after the area healed, caused an existing vein to became more visible. Initially, I was concerned that I had developed a blood clot. The good news is that my surgeon says the vein looks normal. I think that the thick purple vein looks ugly in my opinion. The surgeon says that the formation of veins is normal following surgery. Just curious - Had anyone else experienced a vein becoming conspicuous post op?
