Title: Not exactly FFS
Post by: Inarasarah on January 24, 2017, 06:07:28 PM
So I am now booked to have a facelift, hairline revision, and rhinoplasty revision the second week of May with Dr Mayer in LA.  Not exactly FFS, more like some upgrades and adjustments.  :)

Kinda looking forward to summer now.  :)

Congrats! How'd you choose him? Any tips on dealing with him? I am flying to LA next week to talk about hairline revision.

every one there is great.  I liked Dr Mayer's approach which is minimal and he only addresses issues that were a concern to me.  I decided on him from some reviews I read here, basically posts and comments from former patients.  I am glad I came down for an in person consultation, his initial assessment from the photos I sent and our skype consultation changed after we had time together.  I feel comfortable with him enough to schedule the surgery.

I selected him also because he has experience with trans patients and has a good reputation with surgical revisions.  I am ready to build a new Wolf.

Best of luck to you cej.  :)

I have just completed hair implants where my hairline was moved as well as changed in shape and a Rhinoplasty. Just those two things have made me feel more confident about my ability to blend into the world. I hope it works out well for you. Sometimes subtle changes make a big difference. Although when I had my Rhinoplasty even with it fully swollen my nose was still smaller than it had been. I don't know how he has done it but I even have a little shape and it is developing a slight lift. They are clever...hope you get a fantastic result.

Exactly!!!

I have decided the exact same thing, and though I know not from whence the money shall spring, I am proceeding as if I were rolling in dough, with nothing more than the intention to just 'make it so'...

Buenos Aires, here I come...

(Fingers crossed!!!)

I know, right!!

I am looking at taking out a home improvement loan (well it is an improvement loan :) ), I have spent the last 5 years working on my place without borrowing money, why not start now and use some of that home equity.  This is why we save and spend money, might as well do something for me.  My mom helped me out in 2003, but I am insisting on not asking her for help this time, unless I get desperate, and I am not near that point.

Eeeeekkk, I am getting excited again.  I think I am just going to spend the rest of the week floating on a cloud of happiness.  ;D

I have everything set now.  It is just a waiting game from here on out.

I do kinda love it when a plan comes together.  Back to work, I gotta pay for this stuff...

Yay! It is very nice when it all comes together, even better when all details are settled...

But best of all, when the dust settles, post-op, and we get to enjoy our new advancements!!

I visited the website from where you are going, the audio examples of girls from the before and after surgery were very impressive. This has to be a HUGE boost in confidence and self-esteem for girls that have such great results!

I am very excited for you, you have such a big year, both in Korea, and LA, then beyond...

OMG yes, I have spent so many years doing the stuff I am doing now, and I am ready for the next stage of my life.  I am getting very close to hanging up my skates, in fact I am donating one of my All-Star jersey's to the local hockey bar (the owner has a few of our jersey's on the wall).  What that next stage is is unknown.  I am a little scared, probably the planner in me, not knowing exactly what I will be doing.  I just know it will be good, and some unknown excitement is always nice.  Being done with these steps will bring me joy, that I am sure of.

Thanks Missy, this is a big year, the biggest since 2003.  And I want to thank you and everyone here who has helped me to get to this place.  All of your encouraging words and smiling faces in pictures have envigorated me and helped me to embark on this part of my journey.  I wish I would have found this place years ago, but I have no regrets that I found you all when I did.

I will update from Korea and LA if you all want.  It is hard to believe that in exactly 10 days I will have my VFS.  Holy carp this is so real now.  :)

Much love
Sarah

Yessss! Please do!! I have bigger fish to fry at the moment, and I do very well without VFS, but it does take effort, and I get tired of watching the way I talk, and heaven forbid a song by a male singer that I used to love comes on the radio, omg, and I accidentally start to sing in his range, oooops!!!

I want every possible improvement in the quality of my presentation and life that modern science affords. Now, if only I could afford such improvements, well, that would be awesome...
