Hi! My name is Kenna and I am a 19 year old pre operative transsexual. I have been taking hormones for about a month. I was wondering if there is a community/friends/people I am able to become friends with and help guide my transition! I am still presenting as male and too scared too come out :embarrassed:. PM me so that personal information doesnt go public!

Hi Kenna! Capitol Hill is one of the best places you could be for community. Check out the Ingersoll support group -- it meets Wednesdays at 7pm.

I don't go there often, unfortunately, but there are a ton of helpful, friendly people to meet there. And plenty more around Seattle, too.
A second on that. There's quite the community in Seattle. The Ingersoll center is a wealth of information. I don't make it out in Seattle often, but I hear good things. You're more than welcome to PM me when you like, I usually get back to people quickly. Seattle is my back yard.
Hi Kenna, given that you are 19, you may also check out Lambert House. It is a drop in center for LGBT youth. They have a trans group there too. I use to moderate that group long ago, and I think the group is still going. They help all youth up to 21 years old. It is definitely worth checking out

I have been going to Ingersoll for the last two weeks. The parking sucks. It is at Pine and Melrose. We had about 35 participants at the last meeting. There is a wide variety of young and old. Don't go looking for a sign declaring Ingersoll since the meetings are held at the Seattle Counseling Service 3rd floor. There is also the Rainbow center on Pacific, in Tacoma. I know they have a teenage group.
