I'm a Male to Female transsexual and i'm going to transition soon meaning using HRT.
I'm currently going to the gym but i don't wanna gain muscles!
I'm pretty thin/small so my question is :"Will i gain more muscles duo to me still being male and will HRT have effect on muscle gaining? and is there something i can do to gain a more feminine body(Gym)?"
Ps: does anyone know how to get a smaller waist for male bodies without gaining alot of muscles.
Once you lower your T you won't be able to gain muscle like before no matter what you do. As for getting a more feminine body, just find the workouts you enjoy and keep doing them to maintain your fitness. The rest is simply HRT and time.
It is better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you are not.

HI Jukerrigan,
I lost almost 25 of muscle in the first year on HRT... Mostly upper body arm / chest and back muscle which was built up from years of surfing...I'm a little over 3 years in HRT now and continue to see some signs of muscle loss ... My bra band size has gone from 36 down to 32....
If you like running at all it is a great way to stay fit.... I average 30-45 miles a week these day's
You said you are already thin so you probably won't get a lot of reduction in your waist size but... As HRT adds fat distribution to your bust and hip/butt/upper thighs... Your proportions will give your waist a smaller appearance :)
Onward we go brave sister!!!
Ashley :)
Welcome to Susan's Place. I have never been in a gym and walk so I don't damage my joints. From what I understand the thing to avoid is the power activities. Your are better off working with less weight and more repetitions. If you want additional advice on this, discuss this with your gym adviser and adapt a feminine work out routine as they are designed not to build massive muscles but instead go for the toned look.

Hi Girls,
I'll be honest, I'm not an expert. The information I was given by someone who knows more than me. Xut back on the protein and concentrate on carbs. Ideally a vegan diet.

Thanks for all the posts and sorry for my late reply and my terrible English :)
I go to the gym and have a trainer. I do core exercises. 5 days a week I walk steps at work. I am back up to 17 flights and will attempt to get back to 26 flights next week.
On HRT you will lose muscle.
The best exercise routine(s) is/are the ones you stick to. If you are not going to do it a few times per week, then nothing will help.
I lost 25 pounds by cutting carbs (Bacon and eggs only for breakfast, for example) and I started cycling. It's easy in the joints and you can see the world. Nov and Dec I take a break to let my body recover and in Jan I start spinning on the stationary bike.
It seemed to work. My cousin thought a pre-everything picture of me was a girl.

Is there any special exercises for having more feminine body. I mean like having a bigger butt or breast.
stairs are a good exercise for your butt (glutes) as are squats.. there are many. there may also be some machines at your gym that specifically target your butt. Google glute excercises you will find many and explanations on how to do them.
I have a trainer that plans all my workouts 'cause I don't want to learn all I would need to know. So I can't tell you many of them.
Also until you have your Testosterone down try not to go too heavy on the weight in your excercises. that will reduce the chance of you "bulking up" A lower weight will simply tone your muscles.
I am on hormones but I have more belly fat then I would like. Hormones do redistribute fat in a more feminine way but it's a long slow process. The results are also largely unpredictable. In any case, I'm working hard to reduce my body fat percentage to get a more hour glass figure. Depending on your weight and measurements you may want to do the same. Best ways to reduce body fat are weight training and some cardio. Your legs are the largest muscles in your body so don't neglect them. Some basic reasons why are 1) muscle eats fat 2) muscle burns more calories then fat.
Hope this helps
Though I was not permitted to become a member of the local Woman's only gym, they did allow me to work with one of their personal trainers at their facility as long I did not ender the general restroom or locker room.
I truly loved working with my personal trainer, who focus was cardio, cardio, cardio. After that, there were endless exercises involving the use of low weight/no weight, high rep. On any particular day, there would be 6 to 8 different exercise routines to work out different area's of the body. After finishing the whole serious of exercises, the entire serious would be repeated 2 to three times in one hour, followed by about 10 minutes of stretching. Super high energy.
This was really working for me and the pounds and inches were dropping so fast I couldn't believe it. However, all of my friends kept telling me that I should quit, because of their policy not to allow transgendered woman to become member's, and not allowing me to use the facilities as the genetic woman, even though all of my legal identifying documentation (Birth Certificate, DL, Passport, etc.) said that I was female. I struggled with this for some time, before finally quitting.
