Hi everyone, does anyone have a good PS who does forehead contouring in NYC? Why is it so hard to find a reputable one? Thanks!!
Yes there's a good ffs surgeon, Dr Harrisons Lee he has offices in Beverly Hills & NYC, I'm not sure if he does surgery in NYC though. There's also Dr Spiegel in Boston, only 4 hours train ride from NYC. I'm having my forehead contouring hopefully this May with Dr Spiegel.
Thanks for your reply, Venus! I read some pretty scary stuff about Dr Lee who does do surety in NYC one day a month. I worry about having to trek all the way up to Boston with not much support from anyone IRL. Then there's the extra cost oh basically living there for 10
Days post op. Is that what you're doing! Good luck btw!
Hey Lily, aw yes well i have the forehead contouring planned for May 4th, so I'm staying there May 2-16th I've got an Airbnb booked in it's a lovely apartment 2 bedrooms. Yes it's so annoyingly expensive in Boston to be honest. I just need to pay the remainder surgical fees. Yes there's not many reviews of Dr Harrison Lee. And Dr Spiegel did my first set of surgeries (I'm still recovering from, I had full FFS except rhinoplasty and forehead surgery) {All FFS surgeons suck with rhinoplasties}. Just want to do the forehead contouring, I'm not sure about scalp advament it sounds scary having a visible scar, so I'll avoid that. I keep hearing good and bad reviews now from RealSelf, about Dr Spiegel. I payed the deposit, flight ticket and Airbnb, so it's too hard to change that now. Either it's Facial team or Dr Spiegel I suppose 😅
I just read a super negative review about facelift done by dr Harrison lee on RealSelf. So definitely, 2nd thoughts/don't do that with him I suppose :-\

Good for you for being so close and having it all arranged. I know it's a hassle. But I'm sure will be worth it!
I live in Philly and went to Dr. Spiegel. I would avoid Boston in the winter due to weather uncertainty. I had extensive FFS and did it alone. Boston is expensive. Avoid cabs and use Lift or Uber. Dr. Spiegel did an awesome job on my forehead and orbitals as well as the forehead lowering. He is expensive. I paid for an extra day in the hospital (2 total). I was inpatient due to the extensive work. I thought Mount Auburn Hospital was good but they could have been better. I slept most of the time there.

Thanks for the info Rachel! Did you ever consider Dr Lee who does procedures in NYC? Having to stay a week in Boston for Dr Spiegel is cost prohibitive for me.Also, thoughts on having forehead surgery in a surgery center vs a hospital. Seems that's the norm for a lotta PS's. And it's a bit scary to me. Thanks!
What about Dr. mark filstein in Manhattan? Anyone heard anything good or bad about him? He does FFS in midtown
not much information about his FFS work online. I tried to goggle him and NOTHING. I don't know darling. Having inexperienced doctor operating on you may cost way more expensive with revisions in the end. I am not sayint that this doctor is inexperienced, but I would need more information to decide to use somebody as my FFS doctor.
We all go to the surgeons who have a good track record wherever they operate. A few hours on an airplane is about the same as a few hours in rush hour traffic.
Your face is the single most important feature in passing for the rest of your life. Find the surgeon you want, then just go there.
Although many plastic surgeons can do many feminizing procedures such as rhinoplasty, I think that brow and orbital reshaping is really a specialty procedure that needs specific training.
Has anyone gone to Mark Filstein? He does FFS and he's located in midtown on the east side.........he has only a few FFS before and after pics on his site but I want to know has anyone gone to him to have work done.....also Lexington Plastic Surgeons they are a practice that does FFS we well
If any ladies can recommend a FFS doctor in nyc my email is starlawing@yahoo.com
