I've been told that once I've been on E for a while it'll pretty much cause me to be sterile. I've been on the hormones for almost a month and a half and my... discharge... has changed to a clear, runny, sort of snotty consistency, like what you get when you have a runny nose. And there's a lot less of it nowadays than there was before I started E.
So, my girlfriend and I had sex last night without a condom and I did finish inside her. What are the chances of her getting pregnant? I sincerely do NOT want that to happen. I'm kinda freaking out over it right now.

I think the only way for you to know if you are sterile or not is by being tested, I have come across several warnings that hrt is not an effect means of birth control. Here is an excerpt from one of them.
Because infertility is not absolute or universal in transgender people undergoing hormone therapy, all transgender people who have gonads and engage in sexual activity that could result in pregnancy should be counseled on the need for contraception. Gender affirming hormone therapy alone is not a reliable form of contraception,

I know a transgender women on one of my Facebook groups that got her wife pregnant after 2 years on HRT and it shocked her doctor. If there is anything coming out, there is a super slim chance. It only takes one sperm. For me personally, after 2 months on HRT, it went watery until finally nothing came out after the 8th month on HRT.

This is what mine looked like naturally, before HRT began. The Dr said a 98% chance of never being able to father children. Your mileage may vary.
It's true that everyone will be slightly different. Both E and T-blockers take time to make permanent effects on your fertility. My endo verified with me that I was fine with losing both sperm production and ability to "perform" before I proceeded on HRT. As I already have two kids and already had a vasectomy, it wasn't really an issue.
As with anything in life, there is nothing 100%. If you are sure that you don't want children, even if you don't want GCS, you can take steps like a vasectomy or use protection. I'd expect that having a child while you are trying to transition would cause some real hiccups to the process.
