Title: Should I Have Been Contacted by Now?
Post by: Paradox on February 09, 2017, 11:12:22 AM
Hello.

I'm in the UK. I saw my GP about getting a referral to the Nottingham GIC about 8 months ago, and as far as I'm aware the referral was sent and I should be on the waiting list.

But I was just reading a topic on these forums which had a few people mentioning that they received a confirmation letter from their GIC after about 6 weeks. I've never received a letter? Should I have? I'll have to contact my GP and find out, but I'm terrified now that they didn't actually refer me. Have I been waiting 8 months for nothing?

Initially I'd go back to your GP and confirm that they referred you,  and get a date when they did. You could then contact the GIC.

been 6 weeks for me and nothing yet, going to docs and demanding HRT , well trying any way cos cant wait that long to start transition. Just hope the wife hasn't binned it after kicking me out as I bet they don't have my new address.
