"More than 780 parents of trans children have signed a letter opposing Donald Trump's administration.
The letter, organised and sent to the President by the Human Rights Campaign on Tuesday, said: "All students deserve equal access to a safe, welcoming school and a high-quality education no matter who they are". "
This is surprising
Please, please . . choose your battles wisely. . . generals choose the time, place, conditions before they move. They make sure they can counter what happens in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th move. . .
Republicans use social issues to placate their base and throw them bones. They care nothing about us. We are pawns in a political chess game. Worse still, we have absolutely no political power right now so calling attention to Transgender issues at this time is like standing in front of a fire-breathing dragon and poking it with a stick!! :-(
Right now--with virtually no political power in Washington--it might be best to lay low for a while and put our energy into working behind the scenes till we have more going for us before we act. . . we have nothing going for us right now!!
I'm trying to get scheduled for Surgery right now and the lines are getting longer and longer as many of us are flocking to surgeons hoping to get surgery before Republicans cut off these surgeries simply by refusing funding to hospitals who perform them. They could do this with an Executive Order in minutes. . .
I wake up every morning right now scared to look at the breaking news fearing Republicans--and in particular Pence--will have convinced Trump he needs to stop Transgendered surgeries immediately . . . :-(
(FYI . . . I've followed politics in the U.S. and World for 35 years, every single day like it was my job. I am up to date on virtually every single issue in DC. My above conclusions are based upon years of political education . . . )
