Hi all. Has anyone had fat transfer to the face and had a problem with it? I am specifically thinking in the cheek area.
Anyone seen the fat travel to unwanted area or not take at all?
Thanks!
Monica
I'm hoping the lack of response means no one else has had this issue. I am contemplating a second round of fat graft to the cheeks and am a bit nervous after having had an issue already. I don't know if I am crazy thinking of doing a second round. Facial surgery is the scariest to me.

Hi Monica,
I had fat graphs to the face and the cheek fat graph did not take. I will be going back to Boston to have it redone.
My problem would be ignorance of what is good or bad fat transfer. I just would not recognize either.
They say ignorance is bliss.
Hugs,
Jeanette

Hey Monica, have you ever coinisdered cheek implants? if it's shallowness in your nasal fold area you could get submalar implants, or if it's shallowness in you cheekbone area you could get malar implants. I currently have had submalar-large implants (everyone is different and dr should recommend the approriate size for you) and they look 100% natural. The problem with fat is obviously unevenness, one side of cheek can be less full/even than the other due to absorption ...Dr Spiegel did my cheeks, and it looks 100% natural and very feminising and I still get compliments from them.
I've heard of this thing called BellaFill now too. The stuff is supposed to be more permanent (ie: not move to other areas of the body, etc).
It still seems pretty new though. Not sure I want to mess with it yet.
Thanks for the responses, ladies. I was advised against implants. They said they can move around and would need to be replaced. This is from the doctor.
