Title: Blue Steel Rain
Post by: Ell on November 14, 2007, 01:26:35 AM
Blue Steel Rain

The girl with the softly curving brow
Sits by the window
Thinking of someone
She'd almost been.

The rain continues outside,
A dark, lowered sky
Keeps her spirits from trying to fly.

Someone turns on a light in the room
And she seems not to notice.
Her thoughts are far, far from here.

It was sunny. The air was filled with
Simple things, sounds of work and play.

But she feels so different today.

Now she looks at the sky
And wonders why the air is so chill,
And if her thoughts ever will
Really fulfill their early potential.
