I recently opened a 2nd Facebook account for the female me. I figured it would be a liberating way to express myself while I am still not out in public. First off, if anyone would like to friend me, I'm at: https://www.facebook.com/danielle.allen.18007218
The challenge is that I can't friend anyone from my male life (except for my wife), so getting new FB friends for the female me will be slow. Several days ago, I submitted requests to join a few GenderFluid, Trans and LGBTQ groups, but have not heard anything back. Are any of you in any FB groups that you can recommend?
Just make sure you don't view your male profile as your female profile, or get too many connections that are similar before you're completely out. Once you do, FB starts recommending your profile to people to add as a friend. So someone you aren't ready to tell may find out indirectly.
Can't really recommend any groups. I moderate a few bottom surgery related groups on FB, but that is about it. The social ones seem to have too much drama for my taste.
I recommend a group called "androgynous/gender fluid pride!"
I have given up trying to keep track of mine...I am going to change my name and tell the few remaining acquaintances on my original profile very shortly. I did have a separate female profile but I would forget which one I was in and post stuff to people who I wasn't out to yet and have to quickly delete stuff...way too hard for me to keep track of

Just sent a request. Thanks!
You and I are now FB friends. Yes. FB is great place for transgender people to come out and interact with other people.

When I decided to come out completely, I just changed my gender marker in FB! I am who I am!
Hmmm, I never got a request Barbie.
I am now your Facebook friend, Danielle, and awaiting a reply from the "androgynous/gender fluid pride" Facebook page.
