Ok so I've read if you don't use your thing it will shrink and the depth you get from SRS will be less. So I've trying to get to climax. Earlier I used to rub my body all over and base of my dong to get into climax. Now on HRT I can't seem to get nothing more than a few minutes of erection. I also don't get the kick out from videos anymore.
Anyone have any tips?
Uhm Is it okay If I just erect it? I mean the atrophy, will my dong shrink?
I posted about this a few weeks ago I think. The answer was it is okay not to climax, but erections will help keep the skin elasticated/stretched for SRS.
Oh thanks for the reply. No matter I gives up before I can even climax. Tried for 15 mins, I'll wait for my libido to return later. Meanwhile I'll do some periodic exercises lol.
15 minutes would be nothing for me, even before hrt I usually needed a minimum of a half hour. For me the serious drop in sex drive lasted a few months, it's back in a way I'm happy with and I can also reach orgasm faster if I choose or take much longer if I choose that. Either way the release is less important now.
I agree just having semi regular erections will keep skin from shrinking. I still experience involuntary erection when sleeping, some girls don't.
Same! Sex drive went to zero 6 months ago for me. Porn has actually become a turn-OFF. Soo it is kind of funny.. When I told my cousin she said "now you are just like every other girl" haha we had a good laugh
I'm post-op, my T levels are low to undetectable. On the other hand, my E and P levels are quite high. Porn is a turn-on for me, just depends on what I'm watching. Some girls do enjoy porn. To each their own. I believe having some sex drive is good, I would personally feel "dead" without it but then again, every individual is different and I totally respect that. It's just important not to generalize and believe that every girl is the same.
Sometimes when I look at my dong they retreat to an inch or less and my sacks sag causing me to panick that they might fall down ;D Well I need them for my surgery. Can 2 months of anti androgen cause all of this?
For once I'm happy that I don't get any Random erections. So long morning wood. I thought I might be lesbian before HRT but after getting E I feel attracted to Men more. I'm somehow turned on by deep voice and a well groomed beard. My co-workers might be getting suspicious of me.
I didn't know HRT can change sexual orientation. Has anyone experienced something similar?
I've been bisexual forever, but my attraction to males is low and has only increased a small amount. I'm attributing that to anticipating having a vagina. I'm still no attracted to males on a relationship or emotional direction

Of course not, just my own experience. I used to love porn of course... but for me porn was a solution to a desire I no longer have. I just don't "connect" with porn at all now. Now my desire/drive comes from physical/emotional interactions rather than my body just demanding as an emotionless daily function. lol lol

This is so true for me as well!

Isn't that so very awesome! My drive changed exactly that way. I think i may have masturbated once in the last 3-4 months. (Down from daily before HRT) All exercise of "down there" now comes from intimate activity. It does need exercise though like all body parts and i imagine can only help future SRS
HRT had almost killed my sex drive entirely. I'm about 7 months in and just starting to feel a little bit of a need to masturbate once in a while.
Sex is so much more mental now. No desire for porn at all.
I get morning wood maybe once every two weeks now.
This is such a new thing for me, as my T levels were at 1310 ng/dL before HRT (yes that's crazy high).
I have a girlfriend and do top occasionally, about 1/10 the time. It is much more difficult to maintain an erection though, and often cannot climax from penile stimulation alone. It's not huge deal for me as I have more full body orgasms from being a "bottom".
I've read about some of the libido lowering & erectile side effects of Finasteride and wonder how much that might play into things. I also wonder if Finasteride has been contributing to my depression, although I've suffered from depression all of my life.
My question for some of you out there:
Has anyone who added progesterone to their HRT noticed a better sexual drive / outcome after adding it?
I've never used progesterone and have been seriously considering adding it.

Less than a year ago and about 14 months into my HRT i did add bio-identical progesterone (prometrium). There were a number of positive effects. I did see an increase in Libido although in a very "non-male" form to risk being stereotypical. My emotional and romance feelings about people suddenly added a sexual component back into the mix. Like you previous to this my desire to have sex was very low.

Finasteride has been shown to induce depression/anxiety in a few because of its inhibition of the enzyme type 2 5-alpha reductase, responsible for converting both testosterone and progesterone to metabolites that have anti-depressant and anxiolytic effects. In some, discontinuation of the drug did not lead to remission from symptoms.

Thank you Robyn.
May I ask, why you added it and why wait 14 months?
Can you tell me about the other positive effects?
I appreciate the discussion. There just seems to be so much conflicting information on the use of Progesterone in MTF transition, and I really want to make an informed decision.
I have read a little way through this 27 page discussion on Progesterone:

But it seems like a big argument, so I'd like to hear about personal experiences.

My HRT is being watched over by a GP and i think she may have only 1-2 other trans patients, so i have had to sort of guide her a bit :) Decided to add the progesterone to round out and mature my breasts and to see if i could regain a bit of libido. It was successful on both counts.
The only negative has been an appetite increase but i've been able to manage through that.
I think progesterone also increases my libido, actually. Definitely makes my skin/hair softer and makes it glow more. I believe it increases my appetite momentarily, sometimes I get cravings for salty/sweet foods and chocolate. Has a positive effect on my mood, at least at first when it hits me. Helps me sleep better, deeper although it can also give me more energy/drive at times too. It sharpens my vision momentarily. Gives my breasts more fullness, more volume with areola/nipple area protruding more. I think my nipples have increased in size due to progesterone.
I honestly have been on the fence about it as it can also oppose estrogen's effects, reducing estrogen receptors and increasing conversion of estradiol to the weaker estrone. Some get irritable on it, even depressed. A few find it may even shrink breast size, others, give them more and make breasts rounder. I tend to be more emotional on it whereas on injectable estradiol alone, I'm calmer but kind of 'blah' too.
Is known to increase fat deposition in female areas but can also lead to weight gain in the waist area for some.
In the end, it's about trial and error. To each their own. I take a high dose, by the way. Orally, you will feel more the sedative effects giving you sort of a "high" and making you sleepy, at times.
I failed to mention the other benefits and they are pretty much what Kay has said. Better sleep, a mood enhancer. My skin has continued to soften and look more feminine although im not sure which hormone is responsible for that.

It's going to shrink some either way. The skin is stretchy though so you'll still have some room to work with. Personally If I stretch it out while it's soft I get about 3 1/2" - 4" so I have plenty of material. Also have to keep in mind that a lot of the transwomen who started when they were in their teens before puberty kicked in had no development down there and those that had the surgery ended up with plenty of depth, so some food for thought. I personally can't do anything with it without getting dysphoric.
This is something that's been a slight worry for me as my unwanted physical atributes are smaller then average (Yay for ease of tucking as my entire life even before HRT only about 3/4 an inch is ever visable when non erect but Boo for surgery) My libido is pretty weird though I try and force myself one every 2 weeks or so to *ahem* "Exercise" *cough* I just have very little willpower, want or motivation and it feels like an excessive, boring chore. If I somehow manage to go through with it my libido magically skyrockets for the next 24-48 hours with my body telling me "More! More! More!" of course I fight it as the less I have to acknolowdge that awful snake monster the better! >_< then after the 48 hour mark at the latest it's back to taking an act of god to make me even the slightest bit interested. Though for me I haven't really noticed any changes emotionally and physically with my sex drive outside of a strong tingling sensation that flows to you know where if I were to rub my chest, no noticeable changes to orgasm feeling in my 9.5 months on HRT though.
