Christinerica, welcome to the site.  This can be a nice place to spend a snowy afternoon, with new friends and companionship.  We're always happy to see an experienced woman here, to help those of us still feeling our way with advice or encouragement.

I hope you feel welcome here.

I also want to share some links with you. They are mostly welcome information and the rules that govern the site. If you have not had a chance to take a look, please take a moment to go through them.

Things that you should read

Once again, welcome to Susan's. Look around, ask questions and join in.

Christinerica,

I just reread  the part of you being in Maine. That caught my eye because I will be making a trip to Maine in the next few months. It should be my next road trip.
I set myself a goal when I was told a second time I was dying of cancer to visit all 50 states. Well it seems they've had to revise that prognosis and the 3rd time they told me too. Seems I am gong to live longer than they thought. I still live with the spectre of cancer every 3-4 months when I go in for tests, but hey you learn to live for another day after while. Anyway Maine is #50 and it will happen. Reserve me a lobster or two.

  Hugs,
    Jeanette
