Does a coronal incision scar make a line across your head that hair doesn't grow out of?
And what about a hairline scar? Some hairline scars look pretty obvious to me.
What has been everyone's experience with their scars from FFS?
I have a hairline scar that's still pretty visible after 5 months. Maybe it will fade with more time. Hair is starting to grow through the scar, and I can put foundation on it which helps with the color, but the overall shape still isn't right so I suspect I'll want to revise the incision to bring in the corners more, lift the brow / contour orbits a bit more, and then afterwards get transplants into the revised scar.
I had my forehead work done in 2007; and my hairline scar is barely visible.
I have a definite, visible hairline scar along my frontal hairline even after several years, though most people don't notice unless I pull my hair severely back and they get up close. I also suffered some permanent hairloss along the incision site, though again, it's not obvious unless my hair is wet or badly styled. A thin, invisible scar is what every surgeon out there aims for, but everybody heals differently and unfortunately some people end up with more scarring than anticipated.
Same here. I had my FFS only one month ago. I have a visible, light pink scar at my forehead hairline. But I do get mam'ed a lot more now than before. I just comb my hair forward and to the side. This covers most of the scar, but not all. I think I may have some hair transplanted in the near future.
The first 3-4 months, the hairline scar was really tough to deal with.
Now at 4 months, I'm feeling pretty good about it. I feel like after the first 2 months, I stopped putting concealer on it or trying to hide it and it looks more like a stray hair at this point or it blends in with the hair a bit.
Certain angles or mirrors, I see it (weirdly enough it shows up really bad in the car rear view mirror) but at work in the mirror, in pictures, I don't really see it much.
I'm at about four and a half months now. I would post a photo but I have found it really difficult to get a photo of my scar. You need to get really precise focus, and it's hard to highlight what you're trying to show.
To summarize, though, my hairline scar is visible if you scrutinize it when I pull my hair back. It's worse on the side opposite my part, which means that the best side is the part people can see — and there's really nothing to see. There's no weird scar tissue, just the kind of thin skin that grows back when you're healing — and it's nice and smoothly continuous with the rest of my skin. The only thing there is to notice i that it's a bit pinkish in certain light and still smoother and more delicate, and the underlying tissue is still a bit bumpy, though not the skin itself.
But the scar isn't even the main effect that people might notice. The main problem is that hair near the scar got cut, so I have little short hairs like mini-bangs (but really scraggly) that look weird if I pull my hair back, so I don't.
Which surgeons did you girls go to?
I had coronal incision, and hair growth through it is partial at 10 months. Also if you already have a high hairline, it will makes things worse

I went to Dr Mardirosian in Jupiter, Florida. He is fairly new and he studied under Dr Spiegel. He is nearby and prices are reasonable. He has a website with examples of his work.
