Title: One year on hormones... It's been amazing
Post by: JessicaSondelli on March 08, 2017, 07:13:05 PM
A little over a year ago in December 2015 I posted my first thread here on Susan's as a confused and scared husband and father of three.

Exactly one year ago I swallowed my first little blue pill and while I hit really rough waters with my wife I didn't regret my decision to transition for a second ever since.

I transitioned from a grumpy, depressive and unhappy old guy to a motivated happy woman that loves to live.

I also would like to take the opportunity to thank you all for your support. It made transitioning a while lot easier.

I've been living full-time for a bit over 2 months now and I'm really grateful that I haven't yet received a single hate comment.

Here is a little before/after of me...

Jessica, every time I see you post I can't get over how amazingly gorgeous you are. I'm so happy for you and all the success you're having in finding your truth and peace.  Sounds like you've been down a path very similar to where I'm headed right now.  I'm also a father of three, I'm almost 40 years old, just getting started on transition, probably losing my marriage as a result, but committed to finally doing the right thing for me.

I love reading about your progress because it gives me hope.  I've had a lot of anxiety over how late in life I'm transitioning and the difficulty I may have in looking truly feminine.  Seeing your results and your overall state of mind helps re-affirm my decision.  So thank you soooooooooo much for sharing.

I pray for your continued happiness and joy along your journey.  It looks like you're on the right path and doing quite well overall despite the challenges you've faced.  Good for you!

It's hard to believe those 2 photos are of the same person.  Also, you've always looked feminine in your avatar.  I just wish I could look as good as you do.

Jessica,

As others have already said, you do look amazing!!

While I know each of us is different, we're these estrogen only results or did you get FFS along the way? I am about to start HRT and your results seem far to nice to hope for.

Take care and enjoy your stunning look!!

The only type of surgeries I've had were two. A hole in my left ear and one in my right ear ;-) No FFS, no.... and I'm very thankful that I probably will not need any FFS.

FFS? You don't mess with perfection.

OMG, you are truly beautiful! I just finished 1 month on HRT and I hope to God, I get some feminization of my face.
If I can look half as good as you, I will be thrilled! Keep up the great work hon!

Agreed, based on your photos, I wouldn't risk changing a thing.  Seriously I've said to myself if HRT is half as successful on my face as it's been on yours I'll be ecstatic.  Thank you too for the offer to talk privately, I will take you up on that from time to time (again since my situation is so similar to what yours was/is).

OMG Jessica, you look gorgeous!  I can't believe you accomplished so much with just one year of hormones.  I have been on HRT for 18 months, and I spent $35K on plastic surgery, and I don't look anywhere near as good as you do.

Well done, sweetie.

With kindness,

Terri

Wow, I had no idea how dramatic of a difference there was.  Apparently you found your calling, and hormones have certainly been good to you.

Jessica, what I have found most inspiring is your smile in so many of your pictures. To see happiness show itself so brightly in your face truely gives me hope for my own future.  :)

I think we can truthfully establish that 'probably' is actually 'definitely.'
