Title: I think maybe it finally ended....
Post by: kings joker on March 15, 2017, 02:18:56 PM
I'm not holding my breath about it but I think...maybe...I...may have...SKIPPED MY FIRST SHARK WEEK! It's been a solid 30 days since my last shark week ended and my cycle was always pretty darn predictable. The last two cycles were crazy irregular and the last one was mostly just spotting.

Can I let go of the anxiety now? Would it be too soon to not have to worry about accidentally ruining my sheets in the night? Or am I most likely going to get some random spotting ghost cycles in the next couple weeks and months? I just really don't want to let down my guard about this only to get smacked over the head with reality.

From some of the posts on this forum I would guess you never know if it might happen (until hysto), but as long as you are taking T in sufficient doses it looks like you can expect them to trail off at least.

My shark week stopped almost immediately. I was worried it was too soon to know for certain but it never showed back up. I'd say letting go of the anxiety would be a good thing :) congrats dude.

I´d say be careful. Last time I went 30 days without it and then it still happened.  >:(

Fingers crossed.

**UPDATE**

I FORSURE skipped 2 sharkweeks in a row and I should have started my 3rd by about now. I'm so flipping exited about this! I've worked in pretty male dominated places before and always felt like less of a man on THOSE weeks. I always felt like I had some secret hiding. I'm so pumped that I don't have to worry about that anymore.

Gosh I hope I don't get some ghost week in like 2 months!

It's been so long (years) I've almost forgotten what they were like. I quit additional progesterone pills months ago and expected the plumbing to react, but no. Nothing.

Ahh. It's great not having to think about them. Don't sweat it, they'll be made to stop so long as you take the T. Might take a while to get your functions shut down but they will. Mine were never working properly anyway, T appears to have knocked what was possibly left of them out of field.

Man. I´m pretty jelly right now.

Congrats though!

My shark weeks still won´t beat it. No idea why - I´m more than nine months on T.  ???

Sorry to hear you are still getting it, have you talked with your dr and had your hormone levels check, your E maybe too high and your T not high enough.  I am pre-t and have mine now too, my worst time of the month every month.ed

Thought I'd share. I walked down the "feminine hygiene" aisle at target yesterday. I got a shock to my brain remembering how awful of an ordeal that stuff was each month. All the planning and consideration that goes around staying "clean" and stain free. Idk if it was dysphoria or if this is how girls feel but I swear to god every waking moment on those weeks were spent thinking about the horror show between my legs. No sex, no masterbation, no tight pants or reveling shorts, no sleeping naked, the list goes on!

I count my blessings each month I don't get shark week. I hope and pray that you all make it speedily to the other side in your transition.
